new cellphone load scam10.19.08

According to my reader, there’s a new cellphone load scam that we all have to be aware of. I have not verified this or contacted the phone number given by it’s all for you to know or to share…

By the way, wait for my Puerto Galera update on my next post!

Here’s the comment..to share…

There is a new share-a-load scam that you cannot do anything about. you would just be informed by 2916 that you have shared a load to an unknown number (even if you hadn’t shared anything to anyone).

i have encountered this kind of incident last sunday. i lost 200 pesos load to 09272635349. and this afternoon P30 was again deducted from my account and was shared to 09276519372. I hope this racket of some shameless people will be put to an end.

i already reported the incident to globe but it seems they have no plans yet of doing anything to stop this illegal activity. such a disappointment!

Thanks to snuffles

Angelina Jolie – Touching Interview for the New Movie, Changeling10.10.08

When I’ve read an excerpt from Angelina Jolie’s interview about her recent movie Changeling, I was moved and found no reason to hate her. Now that is a statement! Since I am a Bradniffer (Brad Pitt – Jennifer Aniston) supporter or whatever you may want to call it.

Now, Jolie stars in a movie based on a true story of a California woman in the early 1900′s whose missing young son was returned to her by the police but found out later that the child was not hers and she will fight to find the justice and truth. Even if it means fighting the goverment and all it’s conspiracies. By the way, the movie was directed by the award winning director Clint Eastwood. Enjoy the interview!

Q: Were you shocked that these events really occurred?

A: I could hardly believe it when I read the script. If it wasn’t real, everybody would just say it’s too far fetched to be true. But this is about an actual woman who fought the system and found justice in the end, even at the risk of her own life.

Q: Did it take as much out of you as A Mighty Heart, in which you played the widow of Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and killed by terrorists?

A: It was even more devastating. Certainly, Mariane Pearl lost her husband in the most horrific way. But I think even she might agree that the loss of a child and not knowing where they are or what is happening to them is probably the absolute worst thing in the world. As a mother, it was harder for me imagining that somebody was abusing my child while they were wondering why mommy wasn’t coming to save them. As a mother, that’s just the worst possible scenario. So this film was very, very painful.

Q: What helped you get through the toughest scenes?

A: Clint Eastwood. There have been so many times I’ve worked on films that required a lot of emotion, and the director didn’t understand. They’d do 10 takes in a wide shot and you’re crying and crying. And then they’d do close-ups and you’re still trying to emote with the same honesty. Clint doesn’t exhaust you like that. He knows when to move on. And so you feel safe enough to just lay yourself bare and expose everything.

Q: In Changeling, fate intervenes. Do you believe in that kind of mysterious turn of events that can dramatically change one’s life?

A: Only in a positive way. When I met my son Maddox, I went to Cambodia and left feeling I’d left something behind. I went back on a humanitarian mission and I felt, ‘My son’s here.’ It was the strangest feeling. I woke up that morning thinking, ‘They’re going to introduce me to my kid today and I wonder how I’m going to feel.’ And the moment I saw Maddox I knew I was his mother. I can’t explain it.

Q: Does doing a film like this make you feel even more protective of your own kids?

A: We have a high-profile family, but I don’t want my children to be scared when we have to quickly get into the car because some person is running at us with a camera or something. It is a fine line of wanting them to be aware of strangers but not making them afraid. I suppose that, like with everything with children, it’s just communication and being honest with them.

Q: Billy Bob Thornton recently said that in spite of your divorce, you’re still best friends.

A: I have two divorces behind me but I’m still good friends with both my exes, Billy Bob and Jonny Lee [Miller]. I’ve never had to deal with secrets from the men in my life because I’ve always married artists and they’re a very talkative and expressive bunch. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Q: Is that true of your relationship with Brad Pitt?

A: I don’t want to spend my life pretending to be somebody else, and I don’t want the person next to me to have to pretend ever, because we have a long life ahead of us. So you just want to be able to be who you are in every moment, and that’s the only way you’ll ever be truly happy.

Q: What helps you deal with all the fame and celebrity that surrounds you?

A: I’m just a mom and I’m very grounded by my family. I’m very happy, and I’m so lucky. The world can like me, hate me, fall apart around me, and at least, you know, I wake up with my little kids and I’m happy.

Gown update for the upcoming Christmas Party themed, Casino Royale (James Bond): Tip from one of the organizers, imagine that we were staying in a fabulous hotel in las vegas and then will have a fancy dinner afterwards. What should I wear? That! Is what we should wear for our forth coming Christmas Party.

What do you think?

Twilight Trailer10.10.08

When I heard that Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will not be shown this November 21. I felt really devastated. But I think that Robert Pattison (Cedric from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), as Edward and his love Bella with their friends and enemies could entertain us and might make me feel less terrible. Okey, enough disguise! I admit, I’m excited to see this movie! And after that, I may check the book. What dya think?!?!

Check out the official trailer.

By the way, have you seen the car when it nearly hits Bella? I wish that it has an insurance because if not, it should have. There are many available cheap auto insurance in the market that he could choose from, right? Gee! I’m so excited to see this film!

nearing All Souls Day10.10.08

We are in the middle of October, ten or more days to go and it’s again the “All Souls Day” and the birth of my blog. Whew! What a thing to celebrate! I’m nearing my fifth year blogging! Yehey! Now, before we reach my fifth blog birthday, my family has to prepare for the coming All Souls Day. My mom’s friend gave her 5 packs of 5 pieces of Votive candles. It was really nice of them and it was made of different colors too. Now I just need to buy Votive candle holders and flowers for my auntie, uncles and grandparents tombs.

high school musical addiction10.10.08

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a late bloomer when it comes to something that everyone’s “kinalolokohan”. Like when the Meteor Garden Fever hit Manila, I did not care. Like when everybody loves Jang Geum, I’m not watching it. Two years ago, High School Musical shocked the whole world with its phenomenon debut and even us here (in Manila) without TV cable was very familiar with the show because of all the hype, but I still did not watch the show.

But that was before –

Now, I’m now a follower of all Korean, Taiwanese, and Japanese idol drama shows. Have my own favorite actors and actresses that I support and watch all of their drama shows.

Now, I’ve got to admit that I really, really, really like Zac Efron. He’s cute! He’s pretty! He got a nice voice and he’s a great dancer. And I really love him and Vanessa Hudgens’ love team. On and off screen. Well this high school addiction started when I saw last week the High School Musical 1 (talking of late bloomers…hahaha). After seeing that, I did not stop until I get to see the Part 2 and I was not disappointed. They’re all good! I even adored Sharpay more. She’s really cute in the first movie, but she really shined in the second one. I even like her version of “You are the Music In Me” with Troy, than the one with Troy and Gabriella. Now, I can definitely say that when they show the High School Musical Part 3, I’m definitely going to watch it!

By the way, you’ve got to check the lyrics of this song that Troy (Zac) and Gabriella (Vanessa) sung from Part 2.

Gotta Go My Own Way
sung by: Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron
High School Musical 2

(Gabriella)
I gotta say what’s on my mind
Something about us
doesn’t seem right these days
life keeps getting in the way
Whenever we try, somehow the plan
is always rearranged

It’s so hard to say
But I’ve gotta do what’s best for me
You’ll be ok..

I’ve got to move on and be who I am
I just don’t belong here
I hope you understand
We might find our place in this world someday
But at least for now
I gotta go my own way

Don’t wanna leave it all behind
But I get my hopes up
and I watch them fall everytime
Another colour turns to grey
and it’s just too hard to watch it all
slowly fade away
I’m leaving today ’cause I’ve
gotta do what’s best for me
you’ll be ok..
I’ve got to move on and be who I am
I just don’t belong here
I hope you understand
We might find our place in this
world someday
But at least for now
I gotta go my own way

(Troy)
What about us?
What about everything we’ve been through?

(Gabriella)
What about trust?

(Troy)
you know I never wanted to hurt you

(Gabriella)
and what about me?

(Troy)
What am I supposed to do?

(Gabriella)
I gotta leave but I’ll miss you

(Troy)
I’ll miss you

(Gabriella)
so
I’ve got to move on and be who I am

(Troy)
Why do you have to go?

(Gabriella)
I just don’t belong here
I hope you understand

(Troy)
I’m trying to understand

(Gabriella)
We might find our place in this
world someday
but at least for now

(Troy)
I want you to stay

(Gabriella)
I wanna go my own way
I’ve got to move on and be who I am

(Troy)
What about us?

(Gabriella)
I just don’t belong here
I hope you understand

(Troy)
I’m trying to understand

(Gabriella)
We might find our place in this
world someday
but at least for now
I gotta go my own way
I gotta go my own way
I gotta go my own way

last night10.10.08

Gosh! I can not believe that tonight is the last night that I’m rendering grave yard shift at work. I have been on the grave yard shift for twelve days already and honestly I do not like it, not at all. Why? Because, it’s been two days since I started having terrible headache. Headache that comes and goes. Comes and goes. You know? I started to notice that I’ve got skin problems. My friends say I’m losing weight but I don’t think so. I think, I look haggard so they think I’m losing weight.

Now, thinking of the positive side, just one more night to endure. Just take pain reliever for the headache. Acne pills for the possible acne, skin problem that I have. And put tons and tons of moisturizer for my skin.

Just one more night…the last night.

musings of the heart10.02.08

I’m planning to move out.

But this is a plan I’m not sure of if it will ever come true. It felt like, I already prepared my things and had my wardrobe in the luggage and ready to go, but if I’ll be true to myself it’s really up to him.

Sometimes I get so tired. Sometimes I feel like crying. Sometimes I want to scream.

I don’t deserve this. If it’s not for me, please set me free. Set me free while I still can.

Love me as if I’m not your last resort.
